Stretching is something that should be
included in any horses conditioning programme but has to be done correctly.
It can be applied either after a massage session, during
the warm-up and cool-down.
Your horse can achieve:
· A
longer stride,
· Improved
performance,
· Better
range of motion therefore improving lateral movements,
· Improves
circulation and strength of muscle contractions,
· Reduces
warm-up time,
· Reduces
tension, stiffness and soreness,
· Gradually
lengthens and stretches scar tissue in the tendons.
Please ask me about stretches you can do in-between massage sessions.
